Fayetteville, Arkansas — Dr. Wansapura has a B.S. in Chemistry, and M.S. in Inorganic Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry.  Her doctoral research was conducted within the preeminent electrochemical research group of Dr. W.R. Heineman at the University of Cincinnati.  This very strong educational background is tempered by an attentive approach to product development research.  Dr. Wansapura joined Vegrandis in 2006 and has since been promoted from Post Doctoral Fellow to Scientist to Senior Scientist due in large part to her abilities to formulate and maintain valuable collaborations, garner funding for product development and ferret out and address barriers to commercialization.  Dr. Wansapura’s contributions have helped the company to focus on the development of two core technologies:  microelectrochemical assays (MECA) and carbon nanopipettes (CNP).  These two technologies will be advanced through prototyping, federal regulatory approval and commercial-scale production and will find a multimillion dollar market in a variety of applications.
